Facing the past
Sometimes in our life, we all have to go back and face the past. It is very difficult because it is a lot easier to just leave it behind and run from it then actually facing it. To move on we have to face the past. Even though it may hurt - it is the only way we can continue our lives. If you don’t it’s kind of the same thing as shoveling snow in front of you. You might be able to do this for a short period of time, but in the end, the pile of snow in front of you is just to big to move - and there you are… stuck… you’re ain’t going anywhere until you have faced your past.
As Rafiki says: But the from way I see it, you can either run from it, or… learn from it.
But don’t worry - God is always there helping you out. He is standing beside you in everything you do. Pray to him and ask him to go in front of you and clear the road ahead of you, so you won’t stumble into rocks. He won’t make you fall. In fact - in times of trouble he is carrying you in his arms throughout the times of difficulties in your life. All you have to do is to trust him. Trust in his plan and his everlasting love for you. He’s love never fails. He will make sure everything is alright in the end. But he cant take the first step for you. That is something you have do to. It’s not going to be easy taking the first step - but when you do everything else will fall into place and God will sort out all of your problems.
If God brings you to it - he will bring you through it. Everything is gonna be alright in the end.
Adult Simba: I know what I have to do. But going back means I’ll have to face my past. I’ve been running from it for so long.
[Rafiki hits Simba on the head with his stick]
Adult Simba: Ow! Jeez, what was that for?
Rafiki: It doesn’t matter. It’s in the past.
[laughs]
Adult Simba: Yeah, but it still hurts.
Rafiki: Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the from way I see it, you can either run from it, or… learn from it.
[swings his stick again at Simba, who ducks out of the way]

You are my rock in times of trouble.
You lift me up when I fall down.
All through the storm your love is the anchor
My hope is in you alone <3
